MONDAY NIGHT COMMUNITY DINNER – On the first Monday of the month from 5:45 – 7 pm, organizer and “chef” Kim Lewis along with many volunteers will cook a dinner for the Tucker area folks who wish to attend. This dinner free and is open to anyone who wishes to attend. Every community needs a time and place to come together. This is especially true during these challenging days. What better way to do this than with good food around tables with friendship, laughter and new connections, networking with and befriending people who one did not even know before they sat down? Won’t you join us?
Lawrenceville Road UMC supports…
NET PANTRY – sponsored and run by area churches who stock staple foods for needy families referred by churches or other organizations. It is located in the Tucker Recreation Center on Lavista Road. The pantry is opened and manned by each church for one month on Mon., Wed., and Friday from 10am-2pm. Each church is responsible for certain items. LRUMC is responsible for soup, especially cream soups (to extend canned meats).
There is a box inside the Education building to put your much needed cans of soup for NET PANTRY. No outdated foods please. You can also make cash contributions and we will purchase the soup. Mark checks for NET FOOD PANTRY. Approximately 90 – 100 families are served each month.
